Frank Kleinstück

Dr. Frank Kleinstück is a spine surgeon at the Schulthess Clinic in Zürich, Switzerland, since 2004.

Dr. Kleinstück is specialised in adult revision and adult deformity spine surgery and is a Senior Consultant in Spine Surgery at the Schulthess Clinic since 2009. He completed his medical school at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz and the Technical University of Munich from where he received his medical degree in 1990. In 1998 Dr. Kleinstück earned his speciality in Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology of the Musculoskeletal System (FMH) following residency training in St.Gallen and Zurich, Switzerland. During a 2-year spine fellowship program at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Medical Centre in 1999 to 2001, Dr. Kleinstück further subspecialised in Spine Surgery.

Dr. Kleinstück has been the Principle Investigator of the international multicentre “ESSG” study at the Schulthess Clinic since 2013. Additionally, Dr. Kleinstück lectures on Spinal deformity in the study program of Human Motor Sciences and Sport at ETH Zurich, Switzerland and supports the Outcome Assessment in Spine Surgery at Schulthess Clinic. He is directing the spine research program at Schulthess Clinic. He is a member of the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS), the Swiss Society of Spinal Surgery (SGS), the Spine Society of Europe (Eurospine) and is member of the expert committee on Spine in the Swiss orthopaedic society. He has published more than 80 peer-reviewed papers and has presented more than 150 abstracts at national and international meetings.
