Daniel Larrieu is a clinical research assistant at Pellegrin Hospital in Bordeaux, France. He obtained a Masters in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry in 2000. After 4 years of basic research on atherosclerosis, he earned his PhD in biological and medical sciences in 2004, specializing in particular, in cell culture and confocal imaging. Subsequently, he opened his field of expertise by carrying out various consulting missions as a “project manager” on transversal projects in the industrial sector to obtain in December 2008 a general engineering diploma. he also worked for an organization of private lessons at home and is self-taught in computer programming (website).
He joined ESSG in 2012 as local coordinator. He is involved in the administration of clinical trials. He assists a senior investigator with recruiting and enrolling research subjects and follow them in a prospective study. He also participates in statistical analyses of various research works. He was required to produce statistics for round tables of national meetings (GES, SFCR). He published an article as first author during his thesis and another as a co-author. Since joining ESSG, he has been linked to 13 publications on spinal deformities.
